Dr. Athan Tiliakos graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and did his postgraduate training in Internal Medicine at Drexel University College of Medicine, where he also served as a Chief Medical Resident. Â He underwent fellowship training at Emory University. Dr. Tiliakos is currently involved in clinical trials and epidemiologic research projects relating to Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Eryhtematosus, with a particular interest in health disparities and their effects on disease outcomes. He teaches at the Emory School of Medicine and is particularly involved in clinical education at Grady Memorial.
