Atlanta Cancer Care recently announced the addition of Dr. S. Tariq Mahmood to its Alpharetta and Sandy Springs offices.
Dr. Mahmood is a board-certified physician in hematology, medical oncology and internal medicine. He joins Atlanta Cancer Care from Panama City, Florida, where he served as chair of the cancer committee and chief of medicine at his local hospital.
Dr. Mahmood completed his training in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic Graduate School of Medicine in Rochester, Minn. He completed his Oncology/Hematology Fellowship at the University of South Florida/Moffitt Cancer Center.
Dr. Mahmood has been published in several publications. His clinical interests include general hematology/oncology, gastrointestinal oncology, genitourinary oncology, thoracic/head and neck oncology and myeloma.
