Dr. Ioana Bonta — Georgia Cancer Specialists in Sandy Springs
Dr. Bonta is a board-certified physician in medical oncology and internal medicine. She specializes in systemic therapies such as immunotherapy, targeted therapy, chemotherapy and combined modalities to treat different types of malignancies.
Dr. Bonta previously practiced in Newnan, Ga. She completed her medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest and, after graduation, relocated to Chicago. She spent the following six years working in cancer research at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Bonta completed her internal medicine residency at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago; a fellowship in medical ethics at the University of Chicago, MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics; and a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Boston University. She is the author of several articles and proceedings and holds two patents on computerized image analysis and prognosis. She also holds a position as an adjunct clinical assistant professor at Morehouse School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include thoracic oncology, head and neck malignancies, melanoma and clinical trials.
Dr. Torrance Laury — Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute Sports Medicine
Dr. Laury is board certified in family medicine and CAQ certified in sports medicine. His particular areas of interest are in injury prevention in youth sports, competitive gymnastics, arthritis and chronic injuries due to overuse. He works closely with the local high schools and gymnastics clubs in the surrounding region, helping athletes of all ages achieve their goals.
Dr. Laury will work at the Buford, Cumming and Peachtree Corners locations.
Dr. Joel Pranckun — Northside Hospital Sports Medicine in Canton and Woodstock
Dr. Pranckun is an orthopedic surgeon with fellowship training in orthopedic sports medicine. His particular areas of interest include adult and pediatric sports medicine, cartilage preservation and restoration and minimally-invasive surgery for the shoulder, hip, and knee and he has presented on these topics at a number of conferences and other forums.
Dr. Nokuthula Msimanga — Medical Associates of North Georgia in Canton
Dr. Msimanga is a board-certified and fellowship trained physician in family medicine and geriatrics. Her clinical interests include preventative care, acute and chronic disease management, women’s health and geriatrics.
She has been practicing medicine for over 10 years, and prior to joining Medical Associates of North Georgia, she practiced Family Medicine and Geriatrics in the Greater Atlanta area.
Dr. Beatrix Oheinmhen — Northside Cherokee Pediatrics in Woodstock
Dr. Ohienmhen is a board-certified physician in pediatric medicine and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. A graduate of the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C., Dr. Ohienmhen completed her residency in pediatric medicine at Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters in Norfolk, Virginia.
In addition to providing comprehensive pediatric care, Dr. Ohienmhen has experience working with families to help manage asthma, obesity, ADHD and depression in children and adolescents.
