Originally opened in 1960, Morgan Medical Center was the first critical access hospital in the state of Georgia certified as a Level IV Trauma Center. The 25-bed facility includes a fully-staffed 24-hour emergency room, which can handle everything from minor stitches to trauma injuries and cardiac emergencies. As a dedicated Remote Treatment Stroke Center, Morgan Medical Center’s ER is equipped to deliver life-saving diagnostic and emergency care to stroke patients.
“There’s never a dull moment at Morgan Medical Center,” says CEO Ralph A. Castillo, CPA. “And it’s a joy to see our employees thrive in a dynamic and rewarding hospital environment where compassionate patient care comes first.”
In addition to comprehensive outpatient and inpatient services, and acute care, Morgan Medical Center features its acclaimed transitional care/swing bed program. It provides specialized rehabilitative care to patients recuperating from surgery, stroke, or other acute-care visits before transitioning home or to an extended care facility.
Morgan Medical Center employees have access to state-of-the-art medical technology. For example, outpatient occupational, physical and speech therapy services feature the latest equipment. These services are available to children and adults in one clinic conveniently located inside the hospital. Additionally, Morgan Medical Center’s imaging department offers 3D mammography, a groundbreaking approach to breast cancer detection.
“In 2023, Morgan Medical Center will be entering its fifth year in its current location,” says Castillo. “The hospital’s newness still shines with modern technology, enhanced treatment facilities, and top-shelf amenities. As we continue to grow and strive to be a patient-focused center of excellence, we’re excited to invite stellar professionals to come grow with us.”
Morgan Medical Center employee benefits include three comprehensive medical plans to choose from, $50,000 employer-paid life insurance, a generous paid time-off program, a $10,000 sign-on bonus for select full-time positions, and much more.
Developmental opportunities run the gamut from tuition reimbursement to certification and training, the latter which complies with the requirements of a Level IV Trauma Center. Additionally, employees have the chance to cross-train in several areas and departments, acquire different skills, and become a more well-rounded provider.
“We keep a strong focus on our work culture and have a true sense of community,” Castillo explains. “All of our employees matter. They’re responsible for saving and changing lives, and impacting our community. And we value that.”
