On May 10, 2023, City of Hope Atlanta hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate entering a new chapter as part of one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States.
Last year,, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, Atlanta officially became part of City of Hope, one of the largest cancer research and treatment organizations in the United States. In doing so, City of Hope now has one of the largest geographic footprints in cancer research and treatment, providing cancer patients with timely access to care, clinical trials and innovation on a national scale. The combined organization now has operations in four states, serving approximately 115,000 patients annually.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony at City of Hope Atlanta in Newnan, GA, City of Hope shared more about its mission to connect more patients, families and communities to leading-edge research, treatment and care. With the completion of the CTCA acquisition, City of Hope intends to begin the process of converting CTCA to a nonprofit organization.
