Northside Center for Urogynecology welcomed Dr. Barbara R. Henley to its Atlanta office where she began seeing patients on June 12.
Dr. Henley is board certified in obstetrics, gynecology, female pelvic medicine, and reconstructive surgery. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Molecular Biology, where she was in the U.S. Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corp and was honored as the Distinguished Military Graduate. She completed four years of active duty in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged as an Army Captain.
Following her military career, Dr. Henley received her medical degree at the University of Maryland School Of Medicine and then completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Pennsylvania Hospital. She accomplished a subspecialty fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Dr. Henley’s expertise includes the treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as prolapse, urinary and bowel incontinence, recurrent UTIs, hematuria, and bladder pain. She specializes in vaginal and robotic surgery, intravesical Botox for overactive bladder, and sacroneuromodulation for urinary and bowel incontinence.
