Founders Dr. Luke Lathrop, an emergency room physician in Marietta, GA, and his wife, SmartMED CEO, Stacy Lathrop, are launching a new SmartMED Drive-thru location in Roswell, GA this October.
SmartMED Drive-thru started as a drive-thru Covid testing site and quickly became a full-service medical practice by August of 2022, providing patients with quick, convenient, and compassionate care in the comfort of their own cars. The clinic provides services such as:
- Diagnosing illnesses, including pink eye and ear infections.
- Treating upper respiratory infections, flu, and RSV.
- Administering stitches and wound care.
- Offering IV hydration or weight loss medication.
- Camp and sports physicals.
The Lathrops will open a 5,000-square-foot location at 612 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, on October 2, 2023 and have plans for another location to follow in Woodstock, GA, sometime in 2024. The Roswell location will feature the same drive-thru model offering urgent care services from the comfort of the car. However, this location will also house a full-service laboratory, providing molecular diagnostics, genetics, infectious diseases, and toxicology testing to the community.
