Faculty and fellows from Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University will present new research at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Gastrointestinal (GI) Cancers Symposium in Jan. 2026.
Winship presenters include: Udhayvir Singh Grewal, MD; Mosunmoluwa Oyenuga, MD, MPH; Oluwadunni Eunice Emiloju, MD; Olatunji B. Alese, MD, FWACS, FASCO; Gideon T. Dosunmu, MD, MPH; and Hasiya Yusuf, MD, MPH
Organized around the theme “Meeting the Moment: Cancer Research Shaping the Future of Patient Care,” the conference will convene physicians, researchers and patient advocates from across the world to discuss the latest clinical and scientific advances in GI cancers.
Winship investigators will present data and describe promising new directions in colorectal, liver and bile duct cancer, as well as neuroendocrine tumors and neoplasms. Their scientific abstracts appear across multiple program tracks, including health care access and outcomes; tumor biology, biomarkers and pathology; prevention, screening and hereditary cancers; and novel therapeutics.

“The progress on display at this year’s meeting reflects our talented and highly collaborative Winship team members, all dedicated to transforming care for patients with GI cancers,” says Olatunji B. Alese, MD, FASCO, Winship’s director of gastrointestinal oncology and associate professor of hematology and medical oncology at Emory University School of Medicine. “It’s an honor to present this work on behalf of everyone who contributed — the scientists, clinicians, staff, collaborators and especially the patients who inspire us and serve as true partners in discovery.”
