A Network Created to Meet a Need

Healthcare professionals devote their lives to caring for others. Yet amid demanding schedules, professional pressures and an increasingly complex healthcare environment, they often have limited opportunities to connect with colleagues who understand both their professional responsibilities and their cultural identity.

The Jewish Medical Professional Network was created to meet that need.

Founded in 2025, the Jewish Medical Professional Network, known as the JMPN, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting, supporting and empowering Jewish medical professionals at every stage of their careers. What began as a local vision has quickly grown into a dynamic professional community with more than 300 members, a multi-state presence and emerging connections in Israel, South America, Africa and Australia.

The JMPN welcomes physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, therapists, social workers, healthcare executives, researchers, students and other allied health professionals working throughout the healthcare community. Members represent diverse specialties, backgrounds and levels of experience, but they share a desire for meaningful professional relationships, continued growth and a strong sense of community.

Built Around Six Core Pillars

The JMPN’s work is organized around six pillars: professional networking, social support, education, community service and outreach, innovation and research, and mentorship and leadership. These pillars reflect a central belief: professional success is strengthened by human connection.

The JMPN provides an environment in which members can develop trusted referral relationships, exchange knowledge, discover professional opportunities and collaborate on projects that improve healthcare. At the same time, the network recognizes the importance of comradery, support and belonging, particularly for professionals navigating the unique challenges of being Jewish in medicine today.

Jewish values are woven naturally into the organization’s mission. The principles of healing, service, compassion, and responsibility guide the JMPN’s approach to leadership and community engagement. The organization is proudly Jewish while welcoming partnerships with individuals and organizations of all backgrounds.

Rapid Growth and Meaningful Engagement

In its first year and half, the JMPN hosted six major programs and welcomed more than 750 attendees. Its events have combined professional education with authentic relationship-building, bringing together respected speakers, healthcare leaders, innovators and community members.

Programs have included educational lectures, multidisciplinary panels, fun social gatherings and discussions addressing medicine, leadership, resilience, Jewish identity and the rapidly changing healthcare landscape.

One recent event brought the community together for a World Cup watch party accompanied by physician-led educational panels. The program demonstrated what has become a hallmark of the JMPN: creating experiences that are intellectually valuable, socially engaging and accessible to professionals and their families.

This growth has been driven by a need that many members immediately recognize. Healthcare can be isolating, even within large institutions. The JMPN creates a trusted professional home where members can ask questions, share opportunities, celebrate accomplishments and support one another through personal and professional challenges.

Community service is an essential part of the JMPN’s identity. The organization is working to expand health fairs, medical screenings, public education and other outreach programs that make healthcare information and services more accessible.

The JMPN also aims to mobilize the extraordinary collective expertise of its members in times of need. A network of healthcare professionals can do more than exchange referrals, it can educate communities, mentor future leaders, support vulnerable populations and develop thoughtful responses to emerging medical and societal challenges.

By bringing professionals from different disciplines together, the JMPN encourages collaboration that might not otherwise occur. The JMPN is entering its next stage of growth with an ambitious agenda. Plans include expanded educational programming, larger professional and social events, corporate partnerships, leadership development, international collaborations, wellness initiatives and additional opportunities for members to participate in the organization’s work.

The network is also strengthening its relationships with Israeli medical innovators, universities, researchers and healthcare organizations. These partnerships can create new pathways for education, investment, research and collaboration while reinforcing the connection between Jewish healthcare professionals in the United States and Israel.

As the JMPN expands, its mission remains deeply personal: no Jewish healthcare professional should feel professionally isolated or disconnected from a supportive community.

The organization’s progress reflects what is possible when healthcare professionals come together around a shared purpose. Each new member brings valuable knowledge, experience and perspective. Together, they are building something larger than a traditional professional association, but a community grounded in service, strengthened by relationships and inspired by Jewish values.
