Dr. Nikhil L. Shah currently serves as the Chief of the Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery at Piedmont Health Care in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Shah has performed thousands of robotic procedures with specific expertise in prostatectomy, nephrectomy and upper tract reconstruction. In addition, his interest and expertise in MinimalAccess procedures allows patients the opportunity to consider treatment options that are less invasive. Dr Shah completed his Urology and General Surgery training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and followed with subspecialty training in Robotics, Laparoscopy and Urological Oncology. During residency, Dr. Shah additionally completed a National Institute of Health-National Institute of Diabetes and Kidney Urologist-Scientist Research Fellowship at the University of Michigan. In addition, he has earned a Masters degree in Health Management & Policy at the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. Dr. Shah serves as the President and Founder of the Men’s Health and Wellness Center of Atlanta, a not-for-profit organization that works towards educating and informing men in disease prevention.
