The Blood and Marrow Transplant Group of Georgia welcomes Dr. Lizamarie Bachier to the Northside Hospital Atlanta campus. Dr. Bachier is board certified in the subspecialties of oncology and hematology. Her clinical and research interests include novel approaches to allogeneic blood and marrow transplantation, leukemia and CAR T-cell therapies.
Dr. Bachier graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan before pursuing her medical degree at the University of Puerto Rico’s Mayaguez campus. Following this, Bachier completed her residency at the hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Bachier then pursued a fellowship in hematology-oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an advanced bone marrow transplant fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. She is also a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society for Blood and Marrow Transplant.
In addition, Bachier has authored and co-authored more than 20 research articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Hematology Oncology and the British Journal of Hematology.
